Great time to be coached by an Olympian

For the last 4 weeks the 5/6 students have had the pleasure of being coached by Lenny Permana, a former Olympian who represented Australia at the 2004 Olympics in Athens in Badminton. Lenny also told us that one of her former students – Matthew, was representing our nation at Rio in singles and doubles in badminton.

Lenny still coaches many students and taught us so much about badminton. She told us of the dedication required to become an Olympian. She told us that when she was preparing for the Olympics, she was training 40 hours a week.

Lenny identified many students who showed a lot of potential and that we could enter the Victorian badminton championships in the future.
