In 1/2IC we are enjoying the MAT Program (Martial Arts Therapy). Today we have been learning how to focus on our breathing. Focusing on our breathing can help us to control our emotions.

The prizes are ready for our raffle and are on display in the Office. The Art Monitors will be selling tickets next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Multipurpose Room for the first part of recess. Tickets are $2 each and the money raised will go to the Christmas Appeal. The raffle will be drawn on Friday after our Feast Day Mass. Good luck!
First timers do us proud
For the first time, we were able to enter a team in the Victorian Primary School Badminton Championships. We hopped on the bus at 7:15 am so we could be in Altona for the start of the games. We were represented by Sienna, Fabian, Michael, Alyssa and Sebastian. They played doubles in different combinations. We played against the best players in the state. We certainly improved over the day and were even able to notch up a victory against a very good team. We finally got home at 4:30 pm – a long, but rewarding day.
The boys and girls in 1/2 have been helping Oliver construct a journal of his adventures in Australia. Have a read of the exciting things Oliver has been getting up to.
On Monday 30 October there will be free dress day and we ask everyone to make a gold coin donation which will be given to this farm in Healsville called The Good Life Farm. If you would like to make any extra donations please contact the school office. Read below for more info.

Hello, my name is YAJAT and in my opinion, the greatest invention ever has got to be the COMPUTER.
Life has changed so much since computers have been introduced to human life. Computers have helped humans make their lives easier. They have become indispensable in many workplaces.
Computers have multitasking features that can minimize work. They can display and let you manipulate stored information, and they are used in almost all fields for any purpose.
Computers are the greatest invention of all time because they have become the most powerful tool ever created. They are tools of entertainment, tools of communication, and tools of education that can save you money, time and materials.
What do you think?
