3/4 Level Carol Singing

Tonight, at St Charles Borromeo, the school community met in the school grounds to watch the students from each level, perform 2 Christmas carols.

The 3/4 Level children sang their little hearts out with much gusto! They sang ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ and ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’.

It was a lovely night, with many families mingling together, sharing food, drinks and loads of conversations. A fantastic way to celebrate our fabulous community spirit!

5/6H’s Fun with Fairy Tales

In 5/6H we have been having some fun with fairy tales :). We have been reading fairy tales together then getting into small groups and taking on a specific fairy tale and changing it by altering the ending or the characters (or both). We have had some fantastic and very funny results :)! This activity has allowed students to be extremely creative and collaborative in working together to come up with new stories.

It was a show stopping Friday last week!! Thank you to the SRC and Miss Greenlaw for organising a fun-filled and purposeful day! We hope the money raised helps to purchase gifts for those in need this Christmas. Well done to all for getting involved, including the teachers who took on a very ‘Greased Lightning’ approach!

Mother’s Day Art

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful Mums and Grandmothers!

In 5/6I we created a Mother’s Day card with pop up flowers. It was quite the challenge for everyone!! The end product looks very effective. Try it for yourself! We also shared why we love our Mums. Are you doing something special for your Mum and Grandmother today?

Lanah and Imogen were VERY determined to get it right for their Mums!

SRC Training with Kate!

Today our wonderful SRC reps participated in a training day with the equally wonderful Kate Wilde. It was a great day where the SRC reps from each class got to know each other a little better through fun team building games. There was lots of rich discussion throughout the day about how we can improve St Charles. The students worked really hard in small teams to brainstorm and begin planning four improvement actions for this term. Stay tuned…the SRC team have some exciting projects coming up!
